Nu ska polackerna glömma det som varit så minnesmärken eller monument som minner om sovjet ska förstöras.
Poland on Wednesday began demolishing a Soviet-era memorial to Red Army soldiers, an unwanted reminder of the power that Moscow once held over Poland and a symbol that grew even more objectionable after Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Poland has begun demolishing a Soviet-era memorial to Red Army soldiers, the latest in a series of monuments that have been pulled down in Central and Eastern Europe amid growing hostility toward Russia and its invasion of Ukraine.
Workers began demolishing the memorial in the southwestern Polish town of Brzeg on August 24, the same day that Ukraine marked six months since Russia launched its invasion.

The Monument to the Fallen and Murdered in the East is a monument in Warsaw, Poland which commemorates the victims of the Soviet invasion of Poland during World War II and subsequent repressions. It was unveiled on 17 September 1995, on the 56th anniversary of the Soviet invasion of 1939.
